Significant Advancement In Wastewater Treatment

Whether treating arsenic, hex chrome, selenate, and any or all of the toxic 5 (Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn), there is now one simple, reusable, low cost, low carbon, process. You do not need expensive pressure vessels, multiple technologies or steps.

The media is reusable for thousands of cycles in the field. It typically takes less than 5 minutes to release (desorb) the elements from the media when full. The release solution is also reusable for hundreds of cycles, reducing the toxic elements 10,00-160,00:1.

Precision Periodic has several different off-the-shelf filters to address inorganic wastewater issues. The element/s or compounds to be removed determine which filter or combination of filters are needed. However, in all cases the advantages of Nano Beads filtration over ion exchange, membranes, precipitation, and/or liming are significant.

In most cases the problem element/s to be removed are very low in concentration. This presents no problem for the Nano Beads which can extract element/s of varying concentration from ppm to ppb.

Operating Parameters

Configuration Diagram

A low pressure pump flows wastewater through the Nano Beads columns until the beads are full. The filter will not clog with up to 12% solids at 75 microns in size. Once the beads are full, a reusable 10 bed volume rinse cycle (in-column desorption) is performed using a programmable logic controller (PLC) and then the adsorption cycle beings again.
